On October 17, 2024, at 10:30am AEDT, Aquipa experienced degraded performance. During this time, there was a significant increase in requests likely due to attempts to perform exports, an action which can create considerable load.
This surge in activity resulted in performance issues. A more sophisticated throttling mechanism has been introduced to manage the current request load effectively. No rollback was necessary as the new measures mitigated the impact.
We are currently evaluating several options to bolster system resilience against similar occurrences in the future.
